Day one

We are thrilled to announce the launch of Seqera Labs as a new spin-off from the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) founded by Paolo Di Tommaso and Evan Floden.

The company is focused on tackling the challenges associated with the management of data-intensive and high-throughput computation by empowering the next generation of big-data applications and offering enterprise-grade software, support and services based on the Nextflow technology stack.

Nextflow has been developed at the CRG since 2013 and is a fast-growing scientific workflow orchestrator widely used for running genomic and precision medicine applications. It has been embraced globally by research laboratories, pharmaceutical companies and renowned public health institutions.

Our mission is to foster the adoption of professional open source software and strengthen the community effort around the Nextflow ecosystem. We’ll start by offering high-quality professional services for organisations deploying critical workloads based on Nextflow technology.

We are also planning to explore new innovative products to power the next generation of big data analysis applications for life sciences and beyond.

This is our day one. Our hope is to put a dent in the enormous challenges that exist in health and life sciences by delivering high quality, highly scalable, robust technology solutions with a human touch. Let’s do this together.
